Choose a car to suit your group and luggage

The P0 class (4 seats) is the DAYZ kei car, the P2 class (5 seats) is the MARCH and the PH2 class (5 seats) is the NOTE e-POWER eco car. Each fits 2 large or 2–3 medium suitcases in the trunk.

The W4 class (8 seats) is the SERENA minivan and the W6 class (8 seats) is the ELGRAND minivan, fitting 2–3 large or 4–5 medium suitcases. They are ideal for families and larger groups.

Pick up your car at a branch near the airport or station

Cars can be picked up at branches across Kansai, including Kansai International Airport (Terminal 1 counter), Osaka Airport (Itami), Shin-Osaka Shinkansen Station, Umeda Center Building, Tanimachi 2-chome, Uehommachi Station, Namba OCAT, Tennoji Station, Kyobashi Station, Nagai Station, Ibaraki Station, Sakai Mikunigaoka Station, Higashiosaka Kosaka and Higashiosaka Chuo, Kyoto Shinkansen Station, Uji Okubo, Nara Station.

For airport pickups, the pickup time is usually set 1 hour 30 minutes after your flight lands, and the car should be returned at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Business hours vary by branch, so please check before booking.

Bring your passport and licenses to the counter

At the counter, show your voucher, passport, original driver's license and an International Driving Permit in the Geneva Convention format. Holders of licenses from Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, Monaco, Estonia and certain other countries should bring their original license and a Japanese translation.

You will receive the car with a full tank and must refill it before returning. An English/Japanese navigation system makes finding your way easy.

Check your insurance coverage

The Basic Insurance Plan covers bodily injury liability (unlimited per person, including 30 million yen compulsory insurance), property damage liability (unlimited per accident, 50,000 yen deductible), vehicle damage (up to the market value of the car, 50,000 yen deductible) and passenger injury (up to 50 million yen per person).

With the Full Support Insurance Plan, your out-of-pocket cost for accidents is 0 yen and the Non-Operation Charge (NOC) is waived. It also adds roadside assistance (up to 20,000 yen) for flat tires, dead batteries and lockouts, and towing (up to 100,000 yen).
