Program

Start by shinkansen or at Hiroshima Station
and head to Miyajima with your guide

If you choose the round-trip shinkansen option, you travel on your own from Shin-Osaka Station to Hiroshima Station (about 105 minutes). No guide accompanies this section, and detailed instructions are included in your booking confirmation. With the Hiroshima departure option, you join the tour directly at Hiroshima Station.

Meet your English and Spanish speaking guide at the Shinkansen-guchi bus stop of Hiroshima Station and travel by vehicle to the ferry terminal (about 50 minutes).

Take the ferry to Itsukushima Shrine

Enjoy sea views during the 30-minute ferry ride to Miyajima. Tour the UNESCO World Heritage Itsukushima Shrine with your guide for about 30 minutes and see the famous floating torii gate, which appears to rise from the water at high tide.

Explore Miyajima Island at your own pace

Next, enjoy about 100 minutes of free time. Wander charming streets and temples, and taste local specialties such as Miyajima oysters and maple-leaf shaped momiji manju. You can also meet the deer that roam freely around the island.

Reflect on history at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

After returning to the mainland by ferry, travel about 1 hour by vehicle to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Spend about 2 hours on a guided tour and free time, visiting places that honor the victims of the 1945 atomic bombing, including the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum.

After the tour, return to Hiroshima Station by vehicle (about 40 minutes). Guests with the shinkansen option return to Osaka by shinkansen, and the Hiroshima departure option ends at Hiroshima Station.
