Walk through Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera

Spend about 80 minutes walking the path lined with thousands of red torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine. Then explore Kiyomizu-dera for about an hour and, if you like, stroll along Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, traditional streets lined with shops and teahouses.

Stroll the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and Togetsukyo Bridge

After free time for lunch on your own, head to Arashiyama and spend about 2 hours exploring the bamboo grove and the Togetsukyo Bridge area. Depending on your interests and time, you can also visit Tenryuji Temple, the Kimono Forest, or the Arashiyama Monkey Park.

Visit Kinkakuji and Sanjusangendo

Spend about 50 minutes at Kinkakuji, with its golden pavilion, gardens, and reflecting pond, and about an hour at Sanjusangendo, home to 1,000 Kannon statues. Depending on the schedule, you can also enjoy shopping and free time at Nishiki Market. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Kyoto or Osaka.
