Osaka Kitahorie Temple Bamboo Oil Massage & Matcha Experience

Put on a yukata and
begin with a temple prayer

This experience of about 2 hours takes place at a historic temple in Kitahorie, Nishi-ku, Osaka. After a welcome drink, change into a simple yukata, offer incense and a prayer at the temple, and hear about the temple's history and Japanese worship culture. The instructor speaks English and Japanese, and each session is limited to 3 participants.

Meditate to bells and incense
and relax your feet in a foot bath

Listen to the sound of bells and rubbing incense during a Zen meditation session. Then soothe your tired feet with a foot bath and scrub massage.

Release tension with
warm bamboo and oil

Receive an aromatic oil massage using warmed bamboo and hands. The massage focuses on relieving muscle tension and improving circulation.

Finish with matcha
and Japanese sweets

Wrap up the experience with matcha and authentic Japanese sweets. Photos taken on a smartphone during the experience are given to you free of charge as a souvenir.
