Highlights
Located in Kume in central Naha, Fukushuen is a Chinese-style garden that opened in 1992 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the sister-city ties between Fuzhou in China's Fujian Province and Naha, and the 70th anniversary of Naha's municipal status. Built with materials from Fuzhou, it faithfully recreates a Fuzhou-style garden, letting you feel both the history of the Ryukyu Kingdom and the beauty of the garden's design. This ticket is for night admission from 18:00 to 21:00, so you can stroll through the garden in a different atmosphere from the daytime. It is about a 6-minute walk from Kencho-mae Station on the Yui Rail, making it easy to reach.

This is an admission ticket for Fukushuen during the night hours (18:00-21:00). The scenery of Fukushuen changes with the time of day, and at night you can enjoy the garden in a different mood from the daytime. Last admission is at 20:30, so please plan your visit accordingly.
Take your time admiring the Fuzhou-style garden
Fukushuen is a Fuzhou-style garden faithfully recreated with materials from Fuzhou. Walk slowly and admire the gates, pavilions and other details throughout the garden.
Discover the history of the Ryukyu Kingdom and Kume Village
Kume in Naha, where Fukushuen stands, was once home to Kume Village (Kuninda), whose people came from Fujian and supported the prosperity of the Ryukyu Kingdom. The garden opened in 1992 to celebrate the friendship between Naha and Fuzhou.
※ The garden is closed every Wednesday (if Wednesday is a public holiday, it opens and closes the following day instead).
