Highlights
This small-group tour (max. 6 people) departs from Uyuni and visits the highlights of the Uyuni Salt Flat in one day by 4WD vehicle. Pass through the Train Cemetery with its abandoned locomotives and the traditional salt-producing village of Colchani, then explore the endless white salt flat and Incahuasi Island, covered with giant cacti. Depart from Uyuni
and see the salt flat's highlights in one day
After pickup from your hotel in Uyuni or the designated meeting point, set off with a local guide in a 4WD vehicle. This is a small-group tour of up to 6 people, guided in English or Spanish (option selection).
Visit the Train Cemetery and the salt village of Colchani
The first stop, the Train Cemetery, holds abandoned locomotives that offer a glimpse into Bolivia's railway history. Next, in the traditional village of Colchani, learn about local salt production and browse handicrafts made of salt.
Have lunch on the salt flat and walk Incahuasi Island
Enter the Uyuni Salt Flat, stretching white to the horizon, and visit the salt mounds and the world flags area before having lunch amid the salt flat scenery. Then head to Incahuasi Island, a rocky island covered with giant cacti, and walk its trails while enjoying panoramic views of the salt flat.
Take perspective photos and end with a sunset over the salt flat
Enjoy free time for perspective photos, one of the most popular activities on the salt flat, with your guide's help. After watching the sky turn orange, pink and purple at sunset, return to Uyuni and get dropped off at your hotel or the bus terminal.
※ In the rainy season, access to Incahuasi Island may be restricted due to flooding.
※ Sunset viewing takes place weather permitting, and the mirror effect can only be seen in the rainy season when weather and water conditions allow.
