Kyoto Gion Momoka Kimono & Yukata Rental Experience

Choose your outfit at a Gion kimono shop
and head out into the streets of Kyoto

Arrive at the Momoka shop in Gion at your reserved time, choose a kimono or yukata, and get dressed with help from the staff. Depending on the season and temperature, you will be offered a kimono, summer kimono or yukata. Available 9:00–17:00; please return it to the shop by 17:00 the same day.

All necessary items are included depending on the plan

The women's plan (limited basic komon) includes a silk komon kimono set, half-width obi, bag, tabi socks, zori sandals and a free hairstyling. The men's plan includes a kimono, obi, tabi socks, shingen bag and setta (geta) sandals, and the children's plan includes a children's kimono set, bag, tabi socks, zori sandals and a free hairstyling.

Walk through Gion and the teahouse streets and take photos

The Gion district and teahouse streets are right in front of the shop, so you can start strolling and taking photos as soon as you are dressed. The shop offers free luggage storage.
