Enjoy river canyoning and Yufu Island sightseeing
in one day

Meet your guide around 9:00 at Uehara Port or your hotel in the Uehara area to start the day. One program is held in the morning and one in the afternoon; the order and timing may change depending on the weather and tide that day.

Lunch is on your own, and you can ask your guide for restaurant recommendations. After the tour, you will be dropped off at Uehara Port or your hotel around 16:00. Guests who met on site finish there.

Canyoning over waterfalls and into plunge pools

Make your way down the valley of the Omija River (大見謝川), created by Iriomote Island's wild nature, using your whole body. Walk along the stream through the forest full of negative ions, then descend the valley's drops on your own. There are natural slides, diving spots and other features, and you can climb past a series of waterfalls and jump into the plunge pools. A life jacket, special shoes and a helmet are included, and a wetsuit is provided in winter.

Ride a water buffalo cart across the sea to Yufu Island

From Iriomote Island, ride a water buffalo cart for about 15 minutes across the sea to the small island of Yufu. On this well-known sightseeing island you can experience the unique subtropical ecosystem up close. Relax on the beach, look at rare plants and creatures, or take photos with the water buffalo — spend your time as you like. Yufu Island ticket is included.

Most participants are beginners, and your guide gives a detailed briefing before each program. With safety gear and a guide by your side, first-timers can join with peace of mind. You receive photo data taken during the tour, and hot showers are available afterward.
