Iriomote Island Guests Only: Sunrise SUP or Canoe & Canyoning Tour

From sunrise to morning canyoning,
feel Iriomote's nature with your whole body

This is a set plan for guests staying on Iriomote Island. Enjoy sunrise SUP or canoeing early in the morning, take a break at your accommodation, then go canyoning in the morning. Meet your guide at Uehara Port or your accommodation in the Uehara area, travel by vehicle to the activity field, and you will be taken back to Uehara Port or your accommodation afterward.

Set off before dawn and greet the morning sun in the mangroves

Meeting time is around 5:00 in summer and 6:30 in winter. After arriving at the field and getting ready, you will receive a lesson from your guide before setting off. Paddle a SUP or canoe through the quiet morning mangrove forest and enjoy a different side of Iriomote in the cool air.

The early morning activity ends around 6:20 in summer or 7:45 in winter, and you return to Uehara Port or your accommodation for a break until around 8:50. The end time varies by season.

Go canyoning down a valley in the morning

After the break, head to the morning field and enjoy canyoning from around 9:30 to 11:00. Wearing a helmet and life jacket, make your way down a valley carved by Iriomote's nature using your whole body. It is a refreshing activity where you climb over a series of waterfalls and jump into plunge pools. The tour ends around 11:30 at Uehara Port or your accommodation.

Choose SUP or canoe for the sunrise

For the early morning activity, you can choose between SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) and canoeing. SUP is for ages 12 and up only, so please choose canoeing if you are with children aged 6-11. With safety gear and a guide by your side, first-timers can enjoy it with peace of mind.

※ You will be guided to the best field for the day's wind, tides and crowds, and the tour may take place at sea instead of in the mangroves.
※ Pickups are made at accommodations in turn, so meeting times vary slightly by group.
