we werden opgehaald bij ons hotel. we hadden Leo als gids, hij was erg duidelijk en sprak goed engels. we kwamen bij een familie bedrijf terecht met hele lieve mensen die je erg goed hielpen. Ze spraken niet echt engels maar met Leo erbij en met handen en voeten kwamen we er helemaal uit. heel erg blij met onze messen! was super leuk om te doen en leuk dat je zelf mag kiezen hoe je je mes wilt hebben. Zeker een aanrader als je een paar uur de drukte van dr stad uit wilt.

Minh was excellent at everything! Very kind and very insightful. It was an intimidating process at first, minh made it super easy and enjoyable to follow. The blacksmith family was very patient and helpful and it was overall an awesome experience that I would highly recommend.

Inspiring

What an absolute privilege it was to witness local traditions firsthand and, even more importantly, to become part of them, even if just for a few hours! Our guide, Tee, is the nephew of one of the last families still keeping the traditional craft of knife-making alive. He is incredibly thoughtful, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. More than just a guide, he patiently led us through every step of the process, sharing his family’s knowledge and passion with genuine enthusiasm. We were welcomed with tea, fresh fruit, and, above all, wonderful hospitality. We never felt like tourists taking part in an activity, but rather like guests welcomed into the home of a family of artisans. It was such an authentic, personal, and heartwarming experience. And as if all of this weren’t enough, we also got to take home a beautiful, handmade souvenir of this unforgettable day, carefully and thoughtfully wrapped for us. We left with much more than a knife: we took home a story, a connection.
