Das Theater an sich war super, für den Preis jedenfalls empfehlenswert. Kann jedem nur ans Herz legen die vorderen Plätze mit Aufpreis zu buchen, da die Puppen nicht besonders groß sind. Das einzig etwas schwierige war der Erhalt des Papiertickets. In der Nachricht die man erhält steht, dass man dieses entweder vorher im Office oder 10min vor Einlass am Theater abholen kann. Habe mich für das Office entschieden, da mir das mit den 10min zu knapp erschien (Audioguide muss man sich extra am Abend im Theater holen). Leider war im Büro niemand anzutreffen. Habe dann mehrere Nachrichten geschrieben, worauf man mir mitgeteilt hat ich soll einfach am Abend zum Theater kommen. Soweit so gut. Dann stand ich da und es war niemand zu sehen. Nach einigem Herumfragen beim Personal hat man mich dann auf eine Dame direkt neben dem Treppenaufgang verwiesen. Diese hatte weder ein Schild noch sonst irgendwas an sich das sie als Ansprechperson auszeichnen würde. Das könnte man wirklich besser machen.

Choose your preferred show time and book your water puppet ticket in advance. Exchange your voucher for a physical ticket at the office at 31 Lo Su Street, Hoan Kiem, at least 30 minutes before the show, then enter the theater. The show lasts about 50 minutes.

Water puppetry carries Vietnam's unique cultural identity and began in the Red River Delta about 1,000 years ago. Early shows depicted village life such as farming, fishing, children's games and romance, and today's performances also include ancient legends and myths.

Choose your seat category

Depending on the option, choose VIP front-row seats (rows 1-6), VIP second-class seats (rows 7-11 from the back) or standard seats (rows 12-16). You receive a show program leaflet in your language.

An audio guide is not included. If you wish, book it directly with staff at the theater entrance for 50,000 VND per show. It is available in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Spanish, Russian and German.
