Visit the flower market, an apartment complex and part of Chinatown to see hidden alleys and everyday local life up close. Early in the tour, you spend about 15 minutes sightseeing in the city.

Taste street food from bun bo Hue to banh mi

Stop at local restaurants and street food stalls, spending about 30 to 40 minutes at each. Your foodie guide tells you the stories behind each dish and place. Drinks are served at every stop, and beer is served at the last one. The menu for the 12-tasting tour is as follows.

• Bun bo Hue — noodle soup with a broth of lemongrass, beef bones, pineapple and shrimp paste
• Grilled banana in sticky rice — dessert with coconut sauce, tapioca pearls and toasted sesame
• Crispy Vietnamese pancake — with shrimp, pork and bean sprouts, served with herbs, greens and fish sauce
• Grilled beef wrapped in lot leaves — with rice noodles, rice paper and fruit
• Spring rolls — fresh rolls of shrimp, pork and greens in rice paper with peanut sauce
• Baked eggs in a cup
• Banana or coconut crackers — a local snack made with egg whites, sugar and sesame
• Cold sugarcane juice with kumquat
• Saigon-style banh mi — baguette with pork sausage, pate, butter, pickles and herbs
• Egg and milk flan or sweet black sesame soup
• Iced jasmine tea and cold Saigon beer

You can choose a group tour that includes 1 or 2 Michelin Guide-listed eateries, or a premium tour where all 7 stops are Michelin Guide-listed. Among the private tours, one option ends the night with beer and live music. With the seafood option, you taste grilled scallops and lemongrass-steamed clams instead of banh khot and leaf-wrapped beef.
