From Hue,
explore Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave in one day
Around 4:20 AM you are picked up from your hotel in Hue and travel by a comfortable van designed for long journeys to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Explore Paradise Cave in the morning and Phong Nha Cave by dragon boat after lunch, then depart around 4:30 PM and arrive back in Hue around 8:40 PM. An English-speaking guide accompanies you all day, and depending on the option you can be dropped off in Phong Nha or Dong Hoi instead of Hue.
Walk through Paradise Cave, the Underground Palace
Arriving at Paradise Cave around 9:30 AM, you ride an electric cart through the forest and then walk a short way up to the cave entrance.
Inside, giant stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years fill vast limestone halls. Your guide shares stories about the cave's discovery, geology and ecosystem, and there is time to explore at your own pace and take photos.
Ride a dragon boat into Phong Nha Cave
Around 1:30 PM, board a traditional dragon boat and cruise along the Son River past villages and countryside to Phong Nha Cave.
At Phong Nha Cave, the boat glides slowly along the underground river as you admire limestone formations and glittering stalactites, one of the highlights of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
A local lunch and comfortable transfers
Around 7:20 AM you take a short break at the operator's office in Dong Hoi, where you can enjoy a coffee. Lunch is a Vietnamese meal at a local restaurant near Phong Nha, with vegetarian dishes available on request. Each guest receives two 500 ml bottles of water and two cold towels for the day.
