Highlights
Ride the "Kyobasha" horse carriage in Kameoka, Kyoto, for about 25 minutes from Torokko Kameoka Station to the Hozugawa River Boat Ride pier. A large horse weighing about 1 ton pulls the carriage powerfully as you enjoy the green scenery along the Hozu River, an experience unique to Kameoka. It is also a great way to connect the Sagano Romantic Train and the Hozugawa River Boat Ride.

Depart from the carriage stop on the north side of Torokko Kameoka Station and ride to about 50 m before the Hozugawa River Boat Ride pier (one way, about 25 minutes). The carriage stop is a 1–2 minute walk from Torokko Kameoka Station.
- Departures: 9:35 / 10:35 / 11:35 / 12:35 / 13:35 / 14:35
- Closed: every Wednesday. No service in January and February.
Continue to the Hozugawa River Boat Ride
- You can board if you check in at the pier within the boat ride's operating hours (boat ticket not included). With many extra boats, you can usually board within 5–20 minutes of arrival, but there may be a wait depending on the day.
- If you take the 14:35 carriage, you usually cannot board the Hozugawa River Boat Ride.
- Before booking, please check the carriage departure and arrival times, and if needed, the Torokko train arrival time and the boat ride schedule.
