From Paris: Loire Valley Castles Small-Group Day Trip - Chenonceau, Chambord & Amboise Admission

Visit three Loire châteaux in one day
by minibus from Paris

In the morning, meet your driver-guide in front of La Flamme café on Avenue de Wagram in Paris and head to the Loire Valley in a grey minibus. After about 2.5 hours you reach the first château, and at the end of the tour you return to the same spot. Your English-speaking guide uses old maps and photos to explain the Loire region, court life and its key figures.

Stroll around Château de Chenonceau over the Cher River

Spend about 1.5 hours at Château de Chenonceau. Walk through the flower gardens, admire the delicate arches spanning the Cher River, and hear about the special history of a château run by women for much of its existence.

Explore Château d'Amboise and the town

Spend about 1.5 hours at Château d'Amboise, a favorite royal residence in the 15th century, and see the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci. In Amboise there is about 1 hour 15 minutes for lunch followed by about 15 minutes of wine tasting. Meals are not included.

See Chambord, the largest château in the Loire

Finally, spend about 1 hour 45 minutes at Château de Chambord, the largest château in the Loire Valley. Admire its ornate architecture, double-helix staircase and the hundreds of chimneys and spires on its roof, then drive about 2 hours back to Paris.
