From Fukuoka: Yutoku Inari, Floating Torii & Takeo

Start your Saga trip
with strawberry picking and homemade pudding

Depart from Lawson Oriental Hotel Fukuoka and arrive at the first stop about 1 hour later. Enjoy about 60 minutes of winter strawberry picking and stop at Katono Shokudo (猫野食堂), famous for its homemade pudding. Strawberry picking and pudding fees are not included and are paid on site if desired.

Have lunch at Mitsuse Chicken main store

Enjoy the included lunch for about 40 minutes at Mitsuse Chicken main store (みつせ鶏本舗) in Yoshinogari, tasting the restaurant's signature chicken dish made with fresh local ingredients.

Explore Yutoku Inari Shrine and the sea torii

Spend about 60 minutes at Yutoku Inari Shrine, one of Japan's three great Inari shrines, walking through vermilion buildings and endless torii tunnels. Then stop for about 15 minutes at Ouo Shrine to photograph the sea torii that appears to float depending on the tide.

Visit Takeo Onsen and Takeo City Library

Spend about 60 minutes in the historic Takeo Onsen town, relaxing in the hot springs (fee not included) or exploring the Takeo City Library, which blends traditional architecture with modern minimalism. Then drive about 2 hours back to Fukuoka.
