Tours & activities worldwide.
This day tour departs from Hakata Station and lets you enjoy the sea and culture around Fukuoka in one day, from the Itoshima coast to Yanagawa and Dazaifu. Capture Itoshima's scenery at Meoto Iwa beyond the white torii gate and the palm tree swing over the sea, have Ichiran ramen for lunch, then visit the 24-meter Shiraito Falls. In the afternoon, take a traditional boat ride along the canals of Yanagawa, known as the 'Venice of Kyushu', while the boatman sings folk songs, and end the trip at Dazaifu Tenmangu, the shrine of the god of learning. A guide speaking English, Japanese and Chinese and a professional driver accompany you.

Meet the Itoshima sea
at Meoto Iwa and the palm tree swing
Board the coach in front of Hakata Station and ride about an hour to Sakurai Futamigaura, arriving around 9:30 a.m. Spend about 30 minutes admiring Meoto Iwa (the wedded rocks) joined by a 30-meter shimenawa rope, the white torii gate and the blue Genkai Sea.
Then move to the palm tree swing, one of Itoshima's most popular photo spots, for about 30 minutes. Take photos with the palm trees, beach swing and sea views, and stroll along the beach in the fresh sea breeze.
Lunch on Ichiran ramen
and visit Shiraito Falls

From around 10:50 a.m., enjoy about 80 minutes of free time for lunch at Ichiran ramen (meal at your own expense). Try the ramen famous for its rich tonkotsu broth or visit nearby cafés and restaurants at your own pace.
After lunch, visit the 24-meter Shiraito Falls surrounded by lush forest and enjoy about 40 minutes on the walking trails. From November 1 to March 31, Raizan Sennyoji is visited instead of Shiraito Falls.
Take a traditional boat ride
along the Yanagawa canals

Arrive in Yanagawa, known as the 'Venice of Kyushu', and board a traditional flat-bottomed boat for about 30 minutes along canals with over 400 years of history. As the boatman sings traditional folk songs, you pass charming bridges, willow-lined banks and old residential streets.
Explore Dazaifu Tenmangu
and return to Hakata Station

Finally, enjoy about an hour of free time at Dazaifu Tenmangu, the shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. Explore the shrine grounds and traditional architecture, and try the local specialty umegae mochi at the shops along the approach. The bus then returns to Hakata Station (Chikushi Exit) around 6:10 p.m.
※ From November 1 to March 31, Raizan Sennyoji is visited instead of Shiraito Falls.
※ Whether admission tickets are included depends on the option booked (without tickets / with ticket package).
