From Fukuoka: Itoshima Palm Tree Swing, Yanagawa Boat Ride & Dazaifu Day Tour

From the meeting point near Hakata Station, ride the bus for about 1 hour to Sakurai Futamigaura. Spend about 30 minutes walking along the beach and taking photos of Meoto Iwa, two sacred rocks in the sea joined by a sacred rope, and the white torii gate.

Next, move on to the palm tree swing, one of Itoshima's most popular photo spots, and stay about 30 minutes enjoying the open sea view and ocean breeze. Lunch is on your own during about 80 minutes of free time at a local restaurant or café of your choice serving seafood, Japanese food and more.

Feel the cool mountain air at Shiraito Falls

Shiraito Falls sits in the mountains of Itoshima, surrounded by dense forest and cool mountain air. Spend about 40 minutes around the falls and enjoy a break from the city. From November 1 to March 31, you visit Raizan Sennyoji Temple instead, known for its centuries-old maple trees and peaceful atmosphere.

Enjoy a boat ride along the Yanagawa canals

After about 1.5 hours by bus, arrive in Yanagawa, the "City of Water." Take a boat along the old canals for about 30 minutes, passing willow-lined banks, bridges and historic buildings as you take in the relaxed waterway scenery.

Explore Dazaifu Tenmangu and its approach street

Finally, visit Dazaifu Tenmangu, the shrine dedicated to the god of learning. Spend about 1 hour freely exploring the shrine grounds and the approach street lined with snack and souvenir shops, and try Dazaifu's famous umegae mochi. After the visit, the bus takes about 1 hour back to the original meeting point, where the tour ends.
