Depart Fukuoka and explore
Ukiha, Yanagawa and Itoshima in one day
Depending on your option, meet at HEARTS Bus Station Hakata at 7:50 AM or Fukuoka Central Post Office at 8:10 AM and depart by bus. It is a group tour of up to 49 people with Korean, English and Chinese-speaking guides, and it lasts about 10 hours.
Climb the red torii gates of Ukiha Inari Shrine
The first stop is Ukiha Inari Shrine, where you stay for about 50 minutes. Climb the stairs lined with 91 bright red torii gates for open views of the countryside and valley.
Enjoy a boat ride in the water town of Yanagawa
In Yanagawa, enjoy a traditional boat ride of about 30 minutes guided by a singing boatman. The boat ride fee is included.
After the boat ride, you have about 1.5 hours of free time to explore the canals or try Yanagawa's famous steamed eel. Meals are not included.
Capture sea views on the Itoshima coast
In the afternoon, head to the Itoshima coast and feel the sea breeze on the large palm tree swing for about 30 minutes. Then spend about an hour relaxing at the Sakurai Futamigaura wedded rocks standing in the sea, and take photos in front of the Angel's Wing mural. After the tour, return to Fukuoka by bus.
