Depart from Hakata Station and reach the first stop after about 50 minutes. For about 1 hour, you can pick seasonal strawberries at a farm and try the popular pudding at Kanya Shokudo (strawberry picking and pudding at your own cost). Then enjoy a local Saga set-menu lunch for about 40 minutes.

Yutoku Inari Shrine and Ouo Shrine's underwater torii

Spend about 1 hour at Yutoku Inari Shrine on the mountainside, taking in its crimson buildings and grounds. Then head to the coast to admire Ouo Shrine's torii standing in the Ariake Sea for about 15 minutes, with views that change with the tide.

Takeo Onsen Romon gate and Takeo City Library

In the historic hot-spring town of Takeo, see the red-lacquered Romon gate and stroll around (bathing fees extra). Finally, explore Takeo City Library, famous for its modern design, for about 30 minutes before returning to Hakata by vehicle.
