From Fukuoka: Itoshima, Yanagawa & Miyajidake Shrine

at Raizan Sennyoji

Meet at 8:30 AM at Hakata Station Chikushi Exit and depart. Spend 45 minutes at Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin admiring traditional architecture, a quiet garden, treasured Buddhist statues and a maple tree estimated at about 400 years old (admission not included).

Taste seasonal seafood in Itoshima

Spend 45 minutes at a local seafood restaurant in Itoshima. In winter you can taste seasonal oysters, and in other seasons local seafood dishes (meals at your own expense).

Take photos at the wedded rocks and Palm Tree Swing

Admire the wedded rocks of Sakurai Futamigaura joined by a sacred rope and the white torii by the sea for 30 minutes, then take beach photos at the Palm Tree Swing for 20 minutes.

Yanagawa river cruise and Miyajidake Shrine

In Yanagawa, ride a traditional boat along the canals for 30 minutes (ticket included only in the 'cruise included' option). Finally, stroll the grounds of Miyajidake Shrine for 40 minutes before returning to Hakata Station.
