Get invited to a local home
and cook Korean home-style food
The class takes place in the host's home in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Instead of a cooking studio, you cook in a real Korean home, just as Korean families prepare food together for the holidays. Your host guides you step by step in English and Korean and shares cooking tips. The class lasts about 2 hours, and all cooking tools, aprons and ingredients are provided.
Make several kinds of jeon and doenjang jjigae from scratch

Pan-fry several kinds of jeon with fresh seasonal ingredients, chosen from dongeurang-ttaeng (meatball jeon), pajeon, zucchini jeon, mushroom jeon, tofu jeon, beef jeon, skewer jeon and seafood jeon. You will also make doenjang jjigae and hear about the history of jeon, once served at royal banquets and ancestral rites in the Joseon Dynasty. If you have dietary restrictions such as vegan or vegetarian, or cannot eat spicy food, the menu and spice level can be adjusted.
Dine with a view of the Han River

Enjoy the dishes you made as a full-course meal with seasonal Korean side dishes. Traditional Korean tea is served as a welcome drink, and sikhye and hotteok are served for dessert. While eating, enjoy views of the Han River and downtown Seoul and chat about Korean culture, travel tips and daily life. Photos taken with a DSLR during the class are shared later, and you will take the recipes home.
Take a walk along the Han River after the meal

After the meal, those who wish can take a free walk of about 1 hour with the host around the neighborhood and along the Han River. The walk is optional, so you are free to skip it.
※ The types of jeon may vary depending on the ingredients available on the day.
