Seoul Sillim Home Cooking Class & Traditional Market Tour

This was honestly the best activity we did during our entire trip to Korea! The cooking class and marketplace tour were such an authentic and memorable experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable and did an amazing job explaining not only the food, but also how deeply food and cooking are connected to Korean culture and everyday life. The value for the price was incredible. I honestly think she could charge even more for everything included in the experience. We learned so much, got to explore the marketplace, and felt welcomed, safe, and happy the entire time. If you’re visiting Korea and want an experience that goes beyond the typical tourist activities, I would absolutely recommend this! One of the highlights of our trip for sure. ❤️🇰🇷

From the marketplace through the kitchen to the dining table this felt like an incredibly authentic experience, the stories behind certain ingredients, dishes or just general way of life were very informative. I really enjoy cooking and I was so happy I could choose three dishes we would make, then on top of that the family prepared lots of amazing banchan for us, some of them I'd never even seen in a restaurant before. Thank you for this experience!

This was one of my favorite things we did in Seoul! Anne was so kind and knowledgeable, I learned so much about Korean culture, food, and history in such a short amount of time. The food was incredible, and she and her mom were so hospitable taking us into her home to teach us to cook. Starting from the market tour where we learned about the ingredients to the time cooking and eating, it was an amazing experience I won’t forget!

It was some cozy and informing hours with cooking class! Started off with a nice walk down a food market where we were told fun facts and good tips for picking out groceries and other stuff. Afterwards we got home to the hosts mother where we were showed around the house. We started cooking dishes we chose ourself. We ended the day by drinking tea and eating traditional desert we made together. I recommend this cooking class!
