Take a coach from Beijing
to Gubei Water Town

Meet your guide at 8:40 AM at Exit F of Guomao Station (in front of China World Tower) or at 9:00 AM at Exit E of Shaoyaoju Station (Line 10), then board an air-conditioned coach to Miyun District. After a drive of about 2 hours, you arrive at Gubei Water Town around 11:30, enter and start exploring on your own.

Stroll through the water town's canals and stone bridges

From 12:00 to 20:00, enjoy plenty of free time to explore Gubei Water Town at your own pace. Walk along cobbled streets, canals, bridges and traditional-style buildings to soak up the atmosphere of a northern-style water town. Visit traditional workshops such as a distillery, a dye house and a shadow puppet theater, and taste northern Chinese street food on the snack street.

Admire the views where the water town meets the Great Wall

Inside Gubei Water Town, an observation deck connected to the Simatai Great Wall area lets you see the Great Wall, the surrounding valleys and the water town together. As time passes, the town's lighting and atmosphere change, so you can enjoy its different faces by day and by night.

Watch the musical fountain show and return to Beijing

In the evening, watch the musical fountain light show and climb to the hilltop church to stargaze through a telescope. Meet your guide between 20:00 and 20:30 and return to Beijing by coach; the tour ends when you arrive back at the starting point around 22:30.
