Beijing Gubei Water Town & Simatai Great Wall Day Tour - English Guide

Take the bus from Beijing
to Gubei Water Town

Meet at Guomao Station at 8:50 AM or Shaoyaoju Station at 9:20 AM and take the bus to Gubei Water Town in Miyun. You arrive at the scenic area around 11:30 AM. An English-speaking guide accompanies you on the bus.

Freely explore Gubei Water Town,
the "Wuzhen of the North"

From 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, explore the water town's traditional streets, rivers and bridges at your leisure. Lunch is not included, and your guide can recommend local restaurants.

Within the scenic area, you can enjoy activities such as half-course or full-course boat rides in the water town and day or night cable cars at the Simatai Great Wall for an extra fee. You can buy them online in advance or from your guide on the tour day.

Climb the Simatai Great Wall
and take in the views around sunset

Options including the Simatai Great Wall let you climb the wall in addition to visiting the water town. The day cable car gives you more time on the wall, while the sunset cable car enters around 6:00 PM and must return around 7:00 PM, so the visit is shorter. After the ticket gates, there are uphill stairs and a 2-3 minute climb to the Simatai Great Wall.

Return to Beijing by bus in the evening

After 8:00 PM, gather as instructed by your guide and take the bus back to Beijing. You arrive at the original meeting point around 10:00 PM or later. Please follow your guide's instructions for exact meeting and return times.
