Make ramen from scratch
at Ramen Factory

This 90-minute cooking class takes place at a ramen school founded by popular Kyoto ramen shop Menbaka Fire Ramen. Guided by the school's staff, you learn every step of making a bowl of ramen, from the noodle dough to the soup base and the flavored oil. The instructor guides in English and Japanese.

Fold the dough over 100 times to make noodles

Put on a ramen apron and headscarf and watch a video introducing the ramen-making process before the class begins. Season the chicken, then mix, press and knead the dough and squeeze out the water. By folding and shaking the dough more than 100 times, you experience flour turning into dough and dough turning into noodles.

Choose your soup and toppings to finish your ramen

Choose the combination of soup and sauce for your bowl, then add toppings, egg and seasonings to your taste to complete your own ramen. Enjoy your ramen while looking back on the cooking process.

Take home the recipe and a souvenir

After the class you receive the full recipe and choose one of four souvenirs to take home. A traditional tenugui hand towel is also available as a souvenir.
