Choose your favorite from a wide range of styles, from classic to modern designs. Staff help you get dressed and basic hair styling is included, so it is easy to get ready even if it is your first time. Choose your favorite kimono
at the Arashiyama shop

The shop is about a 3-minute walk from Saga-Arashiyama Station, near Togetsukyo Bridge and close to the famous sights of Arashiyama. When you arrive, staff check your booking and help you pick a kimono. A wide variety of styles is available, so choose one within the option you booked.

Get dressed with help from the staff

Once you have chosen your kimono, staff help you put it on. Dressing takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and an obi (sash), hair accessories, traditional wooden sandals and new socks are provided.

Finish your hair and stroll around Arashiyama

After dressing, wait in the hair styling area and a stylist will do a basic hairstyle for you. Hair styling takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and more elaborate styling is available for an extra fee. When you are ready, enjoy a walk through the beautiful scenery of Arashiyama in your kimono.

Capture memories with the photo shoot package

If you booked the Classic Kimono Photo Shoot Package, first choose your kimono at the shop, get ready and then wait for the photographer. The photo shoot takes place about 1 hour 30 minutes after your arrival at the shop. For example, if you choose to arrive at 11:00 AM, you will meet the photographer at around 12:30 PM.
