This is a single admission ticket for Sanbutsudo (三仏堂) only, the main hall of Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple. Sanbutsudo is an Important Cultural Property and a World Heritage site, introduced as the largest wooden building on Mt. Nikko and one of the largest in eastern Japan. It is a Tendai esoteric Buddhist hall first founded in the Heian period, and the current building was rebuilt in 1645 by Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third shogun. Inside, three 7.5 m tall Buddha statues are enshrined as the principal images, and in front of the hall grows the Kongo cherry tree, a natural monument estimated to be 500 years old.

Sanbutsudo was founded in the Heian period and is one of only a few Tendai esoteric Buddhist halls in Japan. The current building was rebuilt in 1645 by Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third shogun, and is an Important Cultural Property and World Heritage site. This ticket gives admission to Sanbutsudo only, and a visit takes about 10–20 minutes. On the day of your visit, show your QR code at the ticket check point to enter.

In the inner sanctuary are three great Buddha statues (7.5 m tall) — Senju Kannon, Amida Nyorai and Bato Kannon — the honji-butsu of the three Nikko-san deities. Two pairs of hanging-scroll triads depicting Yakushi Nyorai, Amida Nyorai and Shaka Nyorai, the honji-butsu of the three Tosho deities, are also enshrined as principal images.
In front of Sanbutsudo stands the Kongo cherry tree, designated a natural monument and estimated to be 500 years old.
