Highlights
This ticket gives admission to both the Treasure House (宝物殿) of Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple and the Japanese garden Shoyoen (逍遥園). The Treasure House was built to preserve, study and display treasures that tell the more than 1,250-year history of Mt. Nikko; it holds about 30,000 items including National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties, with around 50 on display at any time. Right next to it, Shoyoen is an Edo-period pond-circuit garden where you can enjoy the scenery of every season, from spring flowers to autumn leaves, in a moss-covered setting.

The Rinnoji Treasure House is a two-story building that opened in 1983 to preserve, study and show visitors materials of high historical and artistic value from Mt. Nikko. A visit takes about 20–30 minutes. On the day of your visit, show your QR code at the ticket office to enter.
See National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties up close
The storehouse holds about 30,000 treasures, including 1 National Treasure (59 items), 51 Important Cultural Properties (1,618 items) and 4 Important Art Objects (7 items), with around 50 on display at any time. Since 2003, as a special partner museum of the Tokugawa Memorial Foundation, it has also permanently displayed precious treasures handed down in the Tokugawa main family since the first shogun Ieyasu.
Stroll through Shoyoen, an Edo-period Japanese garden
Right next to the Treasure House is Shoyoen, a Japanese garden from the Edo period. It is a small but moss-covered pond-circuit garden that anyone visiting the Treasure House can enter.
Enjoy different scenery each season
Rhododendrons and azaleas bloom in spring and the leaves turn red in autumn, so you can enjoy a different atmosphere throughout the year.

From JR Nikko Station or Tobu-Nikko Station, take a Tobu bus bound for Chuzenji Onsen or Yumoto Onsen for about 5 minutes, get off at Shinkyo, and walk about 5 minutes to Rinnoji.
By the World Heritage loop bus, it takes about 10 minutes; get off at Shodo Shonin-zo-mae and walk about 1 minute.
By car, it is about 10 minutes from Nikko IC on the Nikko-Utsunomiya Road.
