From Tuesday to Sunday, visit the Vietnam National Museum of History to explore Vietnam's history from the French colonial era and the resistance war against the US to conflicts with the Khmer Rouge and China.

On Mondays, visit the Air Defense - Air Force Museum, whose exhibits show the history and achievements of Vietnam's air defense and air force units during the wars against France and the US.

Visit Hoa Lo Prison, the "Hanoi Hilton"

Hoa Lo Prison was used by the French to imprison Vietnamese revolutionaries and later held American pilots during the Vietnam War. Famously nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton" by American POWs, it is explored for about 1 hour with your guide's commentary.

Optionally, also visit the B-52 Victory Museum. See the wreckage of a B-52, the largest and most advanced US bomber of the 1970s, along with the missiles and anti-aircraft guns used to shoot it down and Vietnamese fighter jets.
