From Da Nang/Hoi An: Cham Island Bai Xep Beach Snorkeling Tour

Head by speedboat to Cham Island,
a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

After pickup from your hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Cua Dai Pier in Hoi An. The speedboat runs at 40–50 km/h and reaches Cham Island, 10 nautical miles (about 18.5 km) away, in about 20 minutes. Enjoy the sea views along the way.

Cham Island is designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve for its diverse ecosystem of plants and animals and its clean sandy beaches. With remains of the Champa culture, it is a historic island closely linked to the formation and development of the Hoi An trading port.

Walk through the island village and see the ancient Cham well

On arrival at Bai Lang Beach, look around the daily life of the island village, home to about 3,000 people. With a local guide, visit the marine protected area that is home to diverse marine life and the ancient Cham well, full of stories of love and tradition, while learning about Vietnam's history, culture and people.

Snorkel in the clear water of Bai Xep Beach

Next, move to Bai Xep Beach for about 1 hour of snorkeling. You can see a variety of marine life, including fish swimming among the natural coral reefs. A snorkel, mask and life jacket are provided; fins are not included.

Spend lunch and free time on the beach

With the lunch-included option, enjoy a local meal prepared by islanders on the beach. With the no-lunch option, you can buy a meal at a local restaurant on the island or simply relax without eating. During the free time afterwards, walk along the shore, take photos, swim or sunbathe. You may also meet the wild monkeys that live on the island. Around 2:00 PM, leave the island by speedboat and return to your hotel.
