After an early-morning pickup from your accommodation in central Da Nang or Hoi An, you visit My Son Sanctuary, the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills and the Lady Buddha in turn. You ride in an air-conditioned vehicle with only your own group, starting right at your door.
A local English-speaking driver accompanies you all day. The driver is not a certified tour guide, but is a local who drives safely and loves sharing stories about his hometown.
Enjoy a quiet visit to My Son Sanctuary around sunrise
Your first stop is My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former capital of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Arriving at dawn, you will see mist still hanging over the red-brick towers, and since the large tour buses have not yet arrived, you can explore in peace. It is cool and uncrowded, making it a great time for photos.
Ride the cable car up to the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills
Next, you head to Ba Na Hills and take the cable car to the top of the mountain. Walk across the Golden Bridge, held up by two giant moss-covered stone hands, and enjoy the cool mountain air and panoramic views of the Truong Son Mountains. There is also time to explore the French Village and the Le Jardin flower garden.
Meet the Lady Buddha at Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula
On the way back, you visit Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula. The 67-meter white Lady Buddha statue stands facing the sea, and you can enjoy the peaceful temple grounds and views of Da Nang Bay. After the tour, you return to the accommodation where you started.
