You are picked up from your hotel in central Da Nang at 12:30 PM and transferred to Cam Thanh Coconut Village. This half-day tour visits two places, the coconut village and Hoi An Ancient Town, with an English-speaking guide.

Paddle a basket boat through the coconut palm waterways

At Cam Thanh Coconut Village, you learn traditional fishing techniques like a local fisherman and how to paddle a Vietnamese bamboo basket boat, then explore the quiet waterways lined with coconut palms. It is a hands-on activity that gives you a close look at the local way of life in Vietnam.

Walk through Hoi An Ancient Town and the Japanese Covered Bridge

Arriving in Hoi An Ancient Town around 2:30 PM, you visit an assembly hall and either Phung Hung Old House or Tan Ky Old House. Visit a family altar and learn about ancestor worship as you watch locals make offerings.

You also stop at the Japanese Covered Bridge, built about 400 years ago to connect the Japanese community with the Chinese living on the other side of the water, and admire the carvings and paintings inside. You also browse handicraft shops and galleries and explore narrow alleys and local neighborhoods.

Ride a boat on the Hoai River and release a wish lantern

In the evening, enjoy a meal of local Hoi An food, a boat ride on the Hoai River and the release of a wish lantern. The tour ends around 7:00 PM and you are dropped off at your hotel.
