Depart at 7:30 AM from the District 1 office or your District 1 hotel for a day of about 10 hours in the Mekong Delta. Drive through the countryside to My Tho
and cruise the Mekong River

Follow country roads in southern Vietnam past rice fields, pineapple farms, orchards and small villages on the drive of about 2 hours to My Tho. From there, take a boat along the Mekong River past Turtle, Dragon and Phoenix Islands to Unicorn Island.

Ride a sampan through the canals
and see village life

Stroll through peaceful orchards and simple villages to observe local daily life. Ride a sampan along canals lined with coconut palms, then explore the village on foot. Visit a local family to taste fruit, honey tea and wine while villagers play traditional music.

Visit a coconut candy workshop in Ben Tre
and enjoy a Vietnamese lunch

Continue by motorboat to Ben Tre to see coconut candy being made by hand. Switch to a small motorboat to travel along leafy canals, then stop at a local restaurant for a Vietnamese lunch.

Afterward, head to another part of Unicorn Island to taste a variety of tropical fruit in an orchard garden while listening to southern traditional music.
