This daytrip was very exciting and awesome we could experience a lot of things. 😊 I would say though we were kind of rushed during the whole day, the quality of the bus and the lunch was 4/5 and I was missing the opportunity/the info to ride a bike. I don't want to say it was a bad programme but there are 👌👌👌 ones too that's why the 4 stars. Anyways the programmes of this daytrip are very colorful 🙏 and we met great fellow travellers😊

The tour is great. The scenery is amazing. The view from the climb at the Mua Cave area & bamboo boat ride, through the limestone cliffs, were the highlights. Everything was very well organised & easy communication via WhatsApp. I was surprised to have an extra 100,000 VND charge to enter Mua Caves as it said all entrance fees were included but I then noticed that the caves were marked as extra. It’s one of the highlights so it should just be included in the price. I went for this tour as the cycling was described as longer but essentially I think all itineraries are the same. The 30 minute stop after being in the coach for about an hour in the morning was too long & unnecessary - was a forced shopping stop. Some other parts could have been more timely, like the temple visit to allow for an earlier return as we didn’t arrived back at our hotel until around 19:30. Our guide Lee was very good & knowledgeable but intense at times & more time to self-explore would have been nice.

Meet your guide at your hotel in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem Old Quarter between 7:00 and 7:30 AM and set off for Ninh Binh. After a 15 to 20-minute rest stop, visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, enjoy a local lunch buffet and ride a bamboo boat in Tam Coc before drop-off at your Hanoi hotel around 6:30 PM. A village bike ride, entrance fees and bottled water are included.

Arrive around 10:30 AM at Hoa Lu, Vietnam's capital from 968 to 1010. Explore with your English-speaking guide and hear about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le and Ly dynasties.

Around 11:45 AM, enjoy a lunch buffet of local dishes such as goat meat, fish, chicken and fried rice. Vegetarian dishes are always available.

Glide through Tam Coc's caves by bamboo boat

From 1:00 PM, ride a bamboo boat around Tam Coc for about 1 hour 30 minutes. Pass rice fields, rivers and limestone mountains and go through three water caves in the scenery Vietnamese people call "Halong Bay on land." Board the bus back to Hanoi around 4:30 PM.
