Redeem your ticket at Kyoto Station Karasuma Exit

It is recommended to redeem your ticket at the sightseeing bus terminal at Kyoto Station Karasuma Exit (Higashishiokojicho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto). You can also redeem it on any Sky Hop Bus.

Visit Kyoto highlights like Nijo Castle

Nijo Castle was the residence of the Tokugawa shoguns when they stayed in Kyoto and is a symbol of the Tokugawa Shogunate's power. Surrounded by high walls and a moat, it is famous for its "nightingale floors", corridors designed to chirp when walked on to warn of intruding assassins at night.

During cherry blossom season, the castle opens in the evening and draws crowds to see the magnificent blossoms. Nijo Castle is open from January 1 to December 28, 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed from December 29 to 31. Attraction admission is not included.

Good to know before you ride

The Sky Hop Bus mainly operates open-top vehicles, so seating conditions may vary with the weather, such as rain, heat or cold.

Luggage is allowed but not recommended, as there is no luggage compartment. Eating is not allowed on the bus, and drinks without lids or with open lids are not permitted.
