From Tokyo: Mt. Fuji 5th Station & Hakone Ropeway Day Tour - Shinjuku Meeting

A day trip from Shinjuku
to Mt. Fuji 5th Station & Hakone

This full-day tour heads straight from Shinjuku, Tokyo, into Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. In the morning you go up to Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, and in the afternoon you experience Hakone from the air, the ground and the water via the ropeway, Owakudani and Lake Ashi. At the end, choose a plan that returns by bus to Shinjuku or by Shinkansen from Odawara Station to Tokyo.

Mt. Fuji 5th Station,
the highest point reachable by vehicle

Drive up the Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji's 5th Station at 2,305 m for a close-up view of the summit and panoramic views of the surrounding lakes. If the 5th Station road is closed (December–April), you visit the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre instead.

Glide over Owakudani's
volcanic valley on the Hakone Ropeway

Ride the Hakone Ropeway over the steaming, sulphurous vents of Owakudani. At Owakudani you can try the famous black eggs boiled in natural hot springs (purchased separately).

Finish with the Lake Ashi pirate ship
and the Shinkansen

On the plan with pirate ship and lunch, you cross Lake Ashi by pirate ship and choose lunch between a chicken nugget set and a steamed bun set. On Shinkansen return plans you get off at Odawara Station and ride an unreserved Shinkansen seat to Tokyo Station; on the bus return plan you return to Shinjuku by bus.
