Your guide explains how Mont-Saint-Michel became an important medieval pilgrimage site, how the abbey was built on top of the rock, and how the tides and quicksand helped protect it from invaders. As you climb through the village, your guide also points out the main sights and the best photo spots.

With the included ticket, enter Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey to explore its vaulted halls, cloister, refectory and chapels, and look out over the bay and surrounding countryside from the terrace. You can also learn about the monks' daily life and the blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. An audio guide is provided when available.

Enjoy free time in the village and return to Paris

During your free time, stroll the steep streets, browse shops for souvenirs and taste local Normandy food. Your guide also recommends good places to eat. After about 4 hours at Mont-Saint-Michel, you will return to the meeting point in Paris.
