In a cooking studio in Bukchon Hanok Village, you make a full Korean table of rice, soup, a main dish and seasonal side dishes rather than a single dish, in a class of about 2 hours 30 minutes. Inspired by the royal surasang tradition, the class uses seasonal Korean ingredients and serves the food in bangjja brassware. Groups are limited to 6 people, so you get individual guidance, and everyone eats the finished meal together. The menu can be adjusted for vegan, vegetarian and halal diets.

Make a full Korean table yourself
in a Bukchon Hanok Village studio
In a cooking studio in Bukchon Hanok Village, you prepare a full Korean table of rice, soup, a main dish and seasonal side dishes in a class of about 2 hours 30 minutes. Inspired by the royal surasang tradition, the class is run as a small group of up to 6 people.
All ingredients and utensils are prepared for you, and the class is taught in English.
Arrive at the studio and prepare your dishes

When you arrive at the studio, you are welcomed and introduced to the experience, then prepare the Korean table following the instructor. Each participant has an individual cooking space and a personal table setting.
The class focuses on everyday Korean home cooking, covering ingredients, techniques and how each dish fits into a full table. It uses 100% Korean ingredients and seasonal produce.
Complete a table from rice to seasonal side dishes

While cooking, you learn how a Korean table is set and shared, from rice and the main dish to seasonal side dishes. Because the group is small, you receive individual guidance and can ask questions along the way.
Enjoy the meal you made together
When the cooking is done, everyone sits down and eats the meal you prepared together. The food is served in bangjja brassware once used at the royal table, with a traditional Korean beverage.
The menu can be adjusted for vegan, vegetarian and halal diets. The experience ends at the same studio where it began.
※ The experience starts on time, so please arrive punctually.
※ Please tell the studio about allergies or dietary restrictions before booking.
