Highlights
On this evening tour of about 2.5 hours, you sit at two yatai (food stalls) in Tenjin and Nakasu with an English-speaking guide and enjoy the food and drinks on the tasting menu. Before the tour, look through the recommended yatai list and share your food preferences, then choose one stall in each area together; your guide helps you choose, order and pay. Between stalls, you also see landmarks of central Fukuoka from outside, such as Suikyo Tenmangu, the Red Brick Culture Museum and ACROS Fukuoka.

Start the Fukuoka night
at the first yatai in Tenjin
Meet your guide in front of LAWSON Tenjin 1 Chome Store and head to the first yatai near the Bank of Japan Fukuoka Branch. Depending on the stall you choose, taste yatai specialties such as bite-sized gyoza, warm oden or ramen, and learn simple etiquette for a warm welcome at the stall.
Walk past the landmarks of central Fukuoka
Hear how Tenjin got its name from the deity of Suikyo Tenmangu Shrine, view the red-brick exterior of the Fukuoka City Red Brick Culture Museum and the terraced greenery of ACROS Fukuoka. Pass the Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Guest House and, at Fuku-Haku Deai Bridge, hear the story of merchant town Hakata and castle town Fukuoka. Landmarks are viewed from outside; building admission is not included.
Finish at a second yatai on the Nakasu riverside
Follow the river to Nakasu and enjoy your second yatai meal near Seiryu Park while soaking up the riverside evening atmosphere. The tour ends in the Nakasu area, where your guide shares tips for enjoying the rest of your evening.
