From Tokyo Station/Shinjuku: Mt. Fuji Bus Tour with Lake Yamanaka, Oishi Park & Chureito Pagoda

Depart Tokyo by bus
for morning views at Lake Yamanaka

Meet your English-speaking guide at the JR Tokyo Station North Exit at 7:30 AM or the Shinjuku Station West Exit at 8:00 AM and depart by bus. After about 110 minutes, you arrive at Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, and stay for about 40 minutes. In the early morning, Mt. Fuji is reflected in the calm lake, and you may see swans at Hirano Beach.

Walk through the spring village of Oshino Hakkai

The eight spring ponds of Oshino Hakkai were formed by Mt. Fuji's snowmelt seeping underground. Spend about 70 minutes walking the old village's stone paths, admiring Mt. Fuji reflected in the springs, and have lunch at your own expense, trying Japanese treats such as freshly grilled mochi and tempura.

Stop at Oishi Park and the Lawson by Kawaguchiko Station

Oishi Park on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi has a 350 m flower path where you can view Mt. Fuji with seasonal flowers such as tulips, lavender and moss phlox. After a lakeside walk of about 40 minutes, take a 20-minute break at the Lawson by Kawaguchiko Station, where Mt. Fuji rises behind the store sign.

On the street by the Hikawa Clock Shop, Mt. Fuji stands at the end of a straight road lined with retro streetlights and shop signs. Finally, climb to the viewpoint at Arakurayama Sengen Park to see Mt. Fuji, the five-story pagoda and Fujiyoshida city in one view, then return to Tokyo in about 2 hours 20 minutes.
