This English-guided tour takes you around the Mt. Fuji area in one day on a Hato Bus departing from Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station. Feel Mt. Fuji up close at the Mt. Fuji 5th Station (Oshino Hakkai village in winter), and take in views of the lake and Mt. Fuji at Oishi Park near Lake Kawaguchi. Climb about 400 steps to the observation deck of Arakura Sengen Shrine to see the Chureito Pagoda framed with Mt. Fuji. A traditional Japanese lunch is included, and a licensed guide accompanies you.
Program
Head to the Mt. Fuji 5th Station by Hato Bus
Board a Hato Bus at Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station and travel about 3 hours to the Mt. Fuji 5th Station. Enjoy about 40 minutes of free time to take in the views of Mt. Fuji up close. In winter, the road to the 5th Station is closed, so you visit Oshino Hakkai village instead.
Enjoy a Japanese lunch near Lake Kawaguchi
Enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch at Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko for about 50 minutes. A vegetarian meal can be prepared on request in advance. After lunch, spend about 20 minutes at Oishi Park near Lake Kawaguchi, where you can photograph Mt. Fuji across the lake if the weather allows.
See the Chureito Pagoda and Mt. Fuji at Arakura Sengen Shrine
Spend about 70 minutes at Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine. Climb about 400 steps to the observation deck to enjoy one of Japan's most iconic views, with the Chureito Pagoda and Mt. Fuji together.
Return to Shinjuku Station
The tour ends near the West Exit of Shinjuku Station after about 2.5 hours by bus. Arrival is around 17:30–18:30 depending on traffic, and the tour does not return to Tokyo Station. Your guide will help you with directions back to central Tokyo or your hotel.
