Ride the Shinkansen to Hiroshima
or join directly at Hiroshima Station
With the Osaka and Kyoto departure options, a staff member meets you at the departure station, hands you round-trip Shinkansen tickets and helps you board. The staff member does not ride the train with you; when you arrive at Hiroshima Station after about 1 hour 30 minutes, you meet your guide. With the Hiroshima departure options, you join the tour directly at Hiroshima Station.
After a safety briefing at Hiroshima Station, board the air-conditioned tour bus to start the tour. On the way, you pass Hiroshima Castle from the bus window.
See the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Museum in Peace Memorial Park
First, head to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and spend about 30 minutes at the Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then spend about 1 hour at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, taking time to reflect on Hiroshima's history and peace.
Enjoy Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki for lunch
Have lunch at a local restaurant for about 45 minutes. You are served authentic Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki made with pork, cabbage, bean sprouts and noodles.
Take the ferry to Miyajima and visit Itsukushima Shrine
Ride the bus to the pier and take a ferry of about 10 minutes to Miyajima. Spend about 1 hour sightseeing at Itsukushima Shrine, followed by about 1 hour of free time to stroll the island and enjoy the scenery.
After returning to Hiroshima Station by ferry and bus, the tour ends for the Hiroshima departure options. The Osaka and Kyoto departure options return to their starting station by Shinkansen.
