This day tour takes you by bus from Sapporo to see the flower fields and countryside of Furano and Biei in a single day. Depart from Sapporo to see
the flowers and scenery of Furano and Biei
Depending on your option, meet at 7:50 AM at the tourist information center on the 1st floor of Sapporo TV Tower or at 7:40 AM in the main lobby of Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel. Check in with the staff holding a white [EasyGo] flag, then travel about 2.5 hours by bus to Biei. In Biei, drive along the Patchwork Road for about 10 minutes, where rolling hills are covered with flower fields and farmland.
Explore the mysterious turquoise Blue Pond
Spend about 30 minutes exploring the Blue Pond in Shirogane at your own pace. The surrounding trees are reflected in the sparkling turquoise water, creating a surreal scene, and the color seems to change with the light.
Walk through the rainbow-like flower fields of Shikisai-no-Oka
At Shikisai-no-Oka, spend about an hour strolling through flower fields that stretch across the hills. Depending on the season, you can see sunflowers, salvia and many other flowers, making it a great photo spot. Admission is included. Afterward, take about an hour for lunch at a local restaurant in Furano. Lunch is not included, but you can buy a simple Japanese set meal at the restaurant.
Stroll through the lavender fields of Farm Tomita
Finally, spend about an hour at Farm Tomita, one of Furano's most famous flower farms. Lavender fields and seasonal flowers spread over the gentle hills, filled with blooms and fragrance from late spring through summer. You can also try the popular lavender ice cream. Then return to Sapporo, about 2.5 hours by bus.
