Highlights

Program
Depart Sapporo for winter Furano and Biei
and the Blue Pond illumination
Meet in front of Exit 31 of Odori Station in Sapporo at 10:10 AM and depart by bus at 10:20 AM. After visiting the winter sights of Furano and Biei, see the Blue Pond illumination in the evening before returning to Sapporo. The guide speaks Chinese, English and Japanese, and there may be a short break of about 10 minutes at a service area on the way there and back.
Stroll the log-cabin shops of Ningle Terrace
Your first stop is Ningle Terrace in Furano, where log-cabin shops sit among the trees. Spend about 30 minutes strolling and enjoying the peaceful winter atmosphere.
Choose free time near Biei Station or
snow activities at Shikisai-no-Oka
For about 60 minutes, you can either enjoy free time around Biei Station or head to Shikisai-no-Oka to join optional winter snow activities such as snowmobiling. Please let your guide know your choice on the day of the tour. Winter activities, including snowmobiling, are paid on site at your own expense, depend on snow conditions and seasonal operation, and generally run from mid to late December.
If Shikisai-no-Oka is closed, the tour visits Chiyoda Fureai Farm instead, where you can meet ponies, horses, Jersey cows, sheep and other farm animals in Biei's peaceful winter countryside.
See Shirahige Falls and the Blue Pond winter illumination
At Shirahige Falls, spend about 30 minutes admiring the blue water of the Biei River against the snowy landscape. The day ends with about 30 minutes at the Blue Pond illumination, where changing lights fall on the snow-covered pond and surrounding trees. The bus then returns to Odori, Sapporo, arriving at around 8:20 PM.
