Program
Depart Sapporo TV Tower at noon
for the winter sights of Biei and Furano
The tour departs at noon from the information center on the 1st floor of Sapporo TV Tower. Look for a staff member holding a white sign reading "EasyGO." Travel by coach for about 2.5 hours to Biei, with a guide speaking Chinese, English and Japanese. The tour ends back at Sapporo TV Tower.
Enjoy snow play at Shikisai-no-Oka
and see the Christmas Tree
At your first stop, Shikisai-no-Oka, enjoy about 1 hour of free time for snow play and winter scenery. The itinerary also lists Farms Chiyoda Fureai Farm, and snowmobile tours are available at an additional cost.
Next, head to the Christmas Tree, one of the most photographed landmarks in Biei, and spend about 30 minutes taking photos and looking around.
Admire the Blue Pond's winter illumination
and Shirahige Falls in the lights
In the evening, spend about 30 minutes at the Blue Pond to see its colorful winter illumination, available only in the snowy season. Also stop for about 30 minutes at nearby Shirahige Falls to see the illuminated waterfall and winter scenery.
End your trip at Ningle Terrace
Finally, spend about 50 minutes at Ningle Terrace in Furano. Stroll among the wooden cabins, browse unique handmade crafts and soak up the cozy atmosphere before returning to Sapporo.
