Depart from Sapporo and explore
the flower fields of Biei and Furano in a day
Meet at the group bus terminal at the North Exit of Sapporo Station at 8:00 AM, or, with a hotel pickup option, get picked up from your hotel within 3 km of Sapporo Station between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. The guide decides the pickup order, so please be ready 10 minutes early. Travel about 2.5 hours to Biei with your driver-guide.
See the blue waters of the Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls
Arrive at the Blue Pond in Biei around 10:30 AM and stay for about 30 minutes. This man-made pond is famous for its mysterious blue water and once appeared as a default Apple Mac wallpaper. Next, spend about 20 minutes at Shirahige Falls in the Shirahige Onsen area and admire its cobalt-blue stream. Around noon, drive along the Roller Coaster Road, known for its steep slopes and open rural scenery.
Enjoy a Japanese lunch buffet and melon on Saturdays
If you choose a Saturday-only option, enjoy a Japanese buffet lunch for about 60 minutes from around 12:20 PM. Dishes such as ramen, curry and salad are made with fresh Hokkaido ingredients, and you can enjoy unlimited Hokkaido melon. Other options do not include the lunch buffet or melon.
Walk through the flower fields of Shikisai-no-Oka and Farm Tomita
Arrive at Shikisai-no-Oka around 2:00 PM and explore freely for about 60 minutes. This vast flower park blooms with more than 30 kinds of seasonal flowers, and admission is included. You can also feed the alpacas for 500 JPY, paid on site.
Around 3:20 PM, spend about 50 minutes at Farm Tomita, a famous lavender farm, enjoying the flower views and browsing lavender products. Leave for Sapporo around 4:10 PM and finish the tour at the North Exit of Sapporo Station around 6:00 PM.
