Depart Sapporo and explore
winter Biei and Furano in one day
Meet in front of Exit 31 of Odori Station in Sapporo at 9:20 AM and depart by bus at 9:30 AM. After visiting Biei's snowy countryside and winter landmarks, enjoy the evening illuminations at Ningle Terrace in Furano before returning to Sapporo. The guide speaks Chinese, English and Japanese, and there may be a short break of about 10 minutes at a service area on the way there and back.
Choose free time near Biei Station or
snow activities at Shikisai-no-Oka
At the first stop (about 60 minutes), you can either enjoy free time around Biei Station or head to Shikisai-no-Oka to join optional winter snow activities such as snowmobiling. Please let your guide know your choice on the day of the tour.
Winter activities, including snowmobiling, are paid on site at your own expense and depend on snow conditions and seasonal operation. They usually start from mid to late December.
See the Christmas Tree in the snowfields and Shirahige Falls
Spend about 30 minutes admiring the iconic Christmas Tree standing alone in Biei's wide snowfields. Then stop at Shirahige Falls for about 30 minutes to see the blue water of the Biei River set against the snowy landscape.
Walk through the winter lights of Ningle Terrace
The day ends with about 80 minutes at Ningle Terrace in Furano, a cluster of log-cabin shops in a snow-covered forest. Stroll along the illuminated paths and take in the winter scenery. The bus then returns to Odori, Sapporo, arriving at around 7:30 PM.
