Group tour participants meet in front of the Grand Hotel, while private tour guests are picked up from their hotel in central Beijing. Next, enjoy a guided tour of about 2 hours at the Forbidden City (Palace Museum), an ancient imperial palace complex with over 500 years of history. Built between 1406 and 1420, the complex has been damaged, looted, rebuilt and restored many times, so most of the existing buildings date from the 18th century onward. Explore the Temple of Heaven, where emperors prayed for good harvests

Finally, spend about 1.5 hours at the Temple of Heaven in southern Beijing. It served as the main sacrificial altar where Ming and Qing emperors prayed for national stability and good harvests, and its magnificent architecture has stood for over 500 years.
