From Uyuni: 2-Day Uyuni Salt Flats Tour (1 Night) - Tomave, Hot Springs & Perspective Photos

Pass the Train Cemetery and Colchani
and enter the Uyuni Salt Flats

On day one, depart from Uyuni at 10:30 AM and explore the Train Cemetery, home to rusty locomotives from the late 19th century. In the artisan village of Colchani, learn about traditional salt processing before heading into the salt flat.

On the salt flat, visit the historic Playa Blanca salt hotel, the Plaza de las Banderas and the Dakar Rally monument.

Walk on Incahuasi Island and take perspective photos

Stroll around Incahuasi Island, covered with centuries-old giant cacti, and enjoy 360-degree views of the white salt plain. Then enjoy a perspective photo session and, if you wish, watch the sunset over the salt flat. In the evening, have a local dinner and spend the night at a simple salt hostel in Colchani.

Discover mining history and old villages in the Tomave highlands

On day two, after breakfast, take in the salt flat once more from a viewpoint, then head to the quiet Tomave highlands. Learn about the silver-mining history of Pulacayo and visit the colonial-era church in the traditional village of Tomave.

Relax at the hot springs and return to Uyuni via Laguna Verde

Relax in natural thermal waters at the local hot springs. Then stop at Laguna Verde to observe grazing llamas and Andean wild birds, and arrive back in Uyuni around 5:00 PM.
